The MVTU race is one of the oldest ski marathons in Russia. The first open MVTU championship by 50 km took place on March 21, 1962. The Baumans became the initiators of mass ski marathons in USSR. The organizer of the race from 1962 to the present is Georgy Alekseevich Smirnov, Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Moscow High Technical University (now Bauman MGTU). The members of the USSR national ski team have started in the MWU marathon. In 1974, the Olympic champion Sapporo-72 Vyacheslav Vedenin took part in the race, and in 1978 - Innsbruck-76 Olympic biathlon champion Innsbruck-76 Alexander Elizarov.
The sports club "Alpha-Bitza" was created in 1986 and currently unites hundreds people of different ages, professions and classes, who loves sport activity. On the territory of the "Bitsa" recreation zone, trainings and competitions in ski races, running, mountain bike, rowing slalom, orienteering and other outdoor sports are held annually.

- Participants of 1999 year of birth and older are admitted
- Groups are formed for 1999-1989, 1988-1979, 1978-1969, 1968-1959 years of birth, and for 1958 year of birth and older.
- The winners are participants who take 1-3 places in the final standing and 1-3 places in each group and 1-3 place in student standing
- Special awards for intermediate leaders at the end of the first and the second lap and finishers who completed 5, 10, 15, 20 ect MVTU marathons in their career.

The amount of entry fee until 24.02.2018:50 XC – 1 200 rub
If entries are available on race day 25.02.2018:
50 XC – 2 000 rub
50 % discount for students. The ladies are free of start fee.
BIBS
Bibs distribution by registration and the entry fee payment will be handed out at administrative building of "Alpha Bitza" sport center.INSURANCE
To receive a bib, participants must provide identification document; original of the medical certificate dated not before 6 months until the date of the competition with the seal of the issuing institution, doctor’s signature, and indication of permission to participate in the competition in the selected distance race; personal life, health, and accident insurance; and fill out a claim on personal responsibility for their own health. Each participant should sign the guarantee letter of personal responsibility for health risks and compliance with the competition rules.
CANCELLATION POLICY
In case of illness or not showing up, and race cancellation due to the bad weather conditions or circumstance beyond the control of the organizers, the entry fee will not be refunded.
The change the program or cancellation of the race due to weather conditions can occur.

The multi-sport park "Alpha-Bitza" is located on the 36th km of MKAD (outside).
By public transport:
from the metro "Yasenevo": bus 202, 165 to the bus stop "Zona otdyha Bitsa";
from the metro "Novoyasenevskaya": bus 262 to bus stop "proezd Karamzina", then 100m to the bus stop "Zona otdyha Bitsa";
from the metro "Bulvar Dmitria Donskogo": bus 962 to bus stop "Zona otdyha Bitsa";
from the platform "Bitza" Kursk railway or from the metro "Teply Stan": bus 37 to bus stop "Zona otdyha Bitsa"By car:
