Russialoppet strategy

Best and biggest ski races. Only the best and biggest race from different parts of country can be a member of Russialoppet.

Regularity and continuity. Each race, having its own history, traditions and programme, is held usually at the same time every year. After completing 10 different Russialoppet races in 5 different regions a skier can apply for the Russialoppet Master title. After completing all Russialoppet races mentioned in the calendar of the current year a skier can apply for the Rassialoppet Honorary Master title. After completing any 50 Russialoppet races a skier can apply for Russialoppet Club-50 membership.

Races for everybody. Races different by length, technique, landscape and target group attract several thousand participants all together every year. Russialoppet Masters Cup, consisting of all 20 races, is the competition for amateurs.  Points towards the Russialoppet Masters Cup are awarding to all finishers in their age groups.

Participation of elite skiers. Russialoppet SuperCup, currently consisting of 6 races, is a Russialoppet series for top skiers. Athletes are getting points for the seasonal ranking Cross-Country Ski Federation of Russian.

Participation of teams. Russialoppet Team Cup, currently consisting of 6 races, is Russialoppet series for the competition between teams. One team could consist of any age, gender and region member. Points are awarding to each participant in his/her age group.

Russialoppet Passport. Completing of a Russialoppet (RL) race is a remarkable achievement and worth of recording! Russialoppet Passport (RL Passport) is a personal document, in which every completed RL race should be registered. The official RL Passport contains a special page for each event in the Russialoppet series. After completing of a RL race, the skier should ask for the official stamp of this event at the race office. A stamp in the RL Passport is the evidence of the completed race. Collecting of RL stamps is an additional motivation to practice cross-country skiing and to travel through Russia. Today there are more than 1500 RL passport holders.
