Russialoppet unites major cross-country skiing marathons all over Russia. It is the biggest national series competition in the world. Series was founded in 1997 by Georgy Kadykov, Russian amateur of cross-country skiing and Worldloppet master N924.

Russialoppet consist of the races from 7 different geographical regions of Russia. Season starts in January in Moscow and finish in April in Kamchatka - the region that has 7 hours time difference and 10 hours flight duration from Moscow. Currently Russialoppet has 18 members.  

There are three Cups will be awarded at the end of the season 2011in Kamchatka. Russialoppet Masters Cup (18 races, 5 best results, separate awarding of points in each of 12 age groups) , Russialoppet SupreCup (5 races, elite skiers, the same rules as for FIS Marathon Cup),  Russialoppet Team Cup (new format of the Cup, any friends of any ages, any gender and towns of living or any clubs could be combined into one team, 12 persons, 5 races, awarding of points in each age group, 5 best result of team's members accounting as Team result on the race).

Russialoppet passport holders have a chance to obtain three kinds of Russialoppet titles by collecting stamps of races. Russialoppet Master should finish 10 any different races in 5 regions. Russialoppet Honorary Master should complete all Russialoppet races mentioned in the calendar of current year. Russialoppet - 50 Club Member should finish in any 50 races of Russialoppet series during the history of Russialoppet.
